Calibration activities for America and Asia/Pacific are coordinated from Instron's Corporate Headquarters and North American Center of Excellence in Norwood, MA, USA. Instron’s North American Laboratories are accredited by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP). Our NVLAP accreditation covers the factory and field calibrations in North America, China, Japan, Korea, Singapore, India, Thailand, Australia and Taiwan operations.

Instron's calibration laboratories are the focal point for all calibration and verification activities worldwide. The Norwood laboratory provides accredited calibrations in support of Force, Hardness, CEAST, and Dynatup products. That laboratory is accredited by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP), a program administered by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), designated as Lab Code 200301-0. All standards used in the performance of calibrations are directly traceable to NIST.
Certification to Highest Standards and Traceability
All working standards used in our verification process are directly traceable to the SI through the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). All procedures meet or exceed ASTM standards.
Certification is also provided for each transducer together with a report showing the actual verification results for each point taken with related traceability information.
In today's world, conformance to standards is serious business. Your customers and the courts can hold you responsible for the integrity of your test data. This is why every testing system, no matter how old or new, should be routinely verified for conformance to applicable national and international standards.
