Minimum System Requirements

*** DELL, HP, IBM, and Gateway PCs MAY BE USED as well as Laptops. Because computer technology is continuously changing, it is strongly recommended that you consult Instron for final approval of a particular model.

  • Intel Pentium (Dual Core or Single Core) Processor: 2 GHz or faster clock speed
  • 1 GB RAM
  • Microsoft Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or later
  • CD Drive
  • Hard Drive: 1 GB Free Space
  • Display: 1024x768 High Color
  • 1 unused serial port

Instron Bluehill 2 with Versachannel Option

  • 1 additional unused full-size PCI slot with minimum length of 6.6" and full height of 4.2" (Refer to PCI Local Bus Specification, Rev 3.0 - "Short Card" Dimensions)

  • VersaChannel ™ : add an additional 4 - 16 channels for data acquisition.
  • Raw Data Viewer: view raw data points for tests. Define format including column order and format.
  • Enhanced Output: define data content for raw data and results output.
  • Microsoft® Access: output user defined test parameters and results for use in Microsoft® Access database
  • API (Advanced Programming Interface): new interface allows users to access Bluehill test information or automate Bluehill operations using Visual Basic® 6.0.
  • Slope: new slope result calculation
  • Seam Slippage: new seam slippage calculations for textile testing.
  • Most Recently Used Lists: clear a selected test method/sample file from list - or the entire list.
  • Change “hold” value and “duration” now available as test inputs.
  • Set and reset digital outputs during a Profiler test.
  • LVDT: Use a strain channel as displacement.
  • Multiple test end criteria: define up to four test end criteria per test.
  • Configure Autobalance on system channels.
  • Units displayed in graph legend for easier viewing of multi-channel graphs.
