Overview
The Micro O-Ring system produces accurate, repeatable hardness readings on soft elastomers too thin or too irregular in shape, such as small o-rings, for measurement with a standard durometer. the O-Ring is used on specimens with cross sections as thin as 1.25 mm (0.1 in). The special indenter and hydraulically controlled descent attain minimal indenter penetration and material deformation. Shore Micro-O-Ring test systems conform to ASTM D2240-00 for Type M (micro hardness durometer).
