Overview

Instron pendulums are designed to meet the growing demand for accurate and repeatable impact testing on a wide range of materials. Used to determine the mechanical and physical properties of metals, polymers, composites, and finished products for both research and development (R&D) and quality control (QC), the pendulum family is capable of performing Charpy, Izod, and Tensile tests according to international standards. As an uninstrumented systems, they provide the absorbed energy value. By fully instrumenting the pendulum,a more complete study of how the material reacts to the impact can be gathered. This information is useful to evaluate the type of failure and the dynamic response of the material.

CEAST 9010 Pendulum Systems

CEAST 9010 Pendulum Systems

The Model 9010 is a low-energy impact pendulum used for determining the resilience of materials following the Izod, Charpy (bars and pipes), Dynstat, and Tensile Impact test methods for ISO, ASTM, and other standards. The potential energy available ranges from 0.5 - 5.5 J.

CEAST 9050 Pendulum Systems

CEAST 9050 Pendulum Systems

The 9050 Series of advanced versatile pendulum machines are used to conduct tests according to Charpy (bars/pipes), Izod, Dynstat, and Tensile Impact methods. With a wide range of vices and hammers that are easily interchanged, these pendulum machines can achieve impact energies up to 50 J (36.9 ft-lbs).
