Dynamic and Fatigue Systems

Instron offers an extensive range of fully-integrated dynamic and fatigue testing systems from 1000 N up to 2500 kN. Incorporating servohydraulic, servo-electric and linear motor technologies, these test instruments cover a broad range of fatigue, dynamic, and static testing applications. These applications include high-cycle fatigue, low-cycle fatigue, thermo-mechanical fatigue, crack propagation and growth studies, fracture toughness, bi-axial, axial-torsional, multi-axial, high strain rate, quasi-static, creep, stress-relaxation, and other types of dynamic and static tests.

ElectroPuls Test Instruments

ElectroPuls™ systems use patented linear motor technology to offer slow-speed static testing and high-frequency dynamic fatigue testing with hundreds of Hertz capability. Running from only a single-phase electrical connection to the wall, ElectroPuls systems are dynamic testing machines that do not have the environmental impact of conventional servohydraulic technologies.

Low-Capacity 8800 Servohydraulic Testing Systems

These servohydraulic testing systems are ideal for performing a variety of fatigue and dynamic tests, as well as static tests. All systems are equipped with the advanced features of the 8800 digital controller, Console Software and the unique, fatigue-rated Instron Dynacell™ load cells. WaveMatrix™ Dynamic Testing Software provides the backbone for running many dynamic tests.

8800 Controller Upgrades and Retrofits for Fatigue Systems

An Instron® 8800 retrofit enables older servohydraulic testing systems to be upgraded with the latest control electronics and access WaveMatrix™ software for performing fatigue and dynamic tests, or Bluehill® software for static tests. This enables a cost effective way to extend the life of your existing installation and test using the latest techniques.
